Minister. Leon Lundy is a community figure serving as the Member of Parliament for Mangrove Cay, Central and South Andros and the Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister. His professional journey began in the hospitality industry, where he ascended rapidly through the ranks to become the Financial Comptroller of the Holiday Inn Resort at just 19 years old. For over 23 years, he proved himself a stalwart in the sector, effectively utilizing his skills and experiences to foster growth and innovation.

Mr. Lundy’s commitment to public service and community development led him to establish The Lundy Foundation, where he served as the CEO. Guided by the principles imparted by his educator and parents, he built the foundation to promote knowledge and facilitate personal and community growth.

In his current roles in government, Mr. Lundy brings the same dedication and foresight that marked his earlier career. His efforts are guided by an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of his constituents, enhancing public policy, and fostering an environment of growth and prosperity.
On the personal front, Mr. Lundy is a devoted husband to Tamara Lundy and a proud father of four children. His family values are firmly grounded in the belief in hard work, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. His eldest daughter, Jane, is a testament to this, having enrolled in Broward Community College at the age of 15 and graduating both high school and college by 18. His second daughter, Lauryn, maintains a 4.0 GPA at Windsor Upper School in Nassau, displaying dedication and academic prowess. Tanai, his third daughter, recently showcased her talent by placing in the top five in the Miss Teen Bahamas pageant. His youngest, Leon Jr., despite being only 5 years old, is already making strides at Xavier’s Lower School.

He is a husband, father, son, brother, entrepreneur, and visionary. His professional journey showcases a successful merger of business acumen and public service, and his personal life illustrates his commitment to nurturing excellence in his family.
