The Hon. Bacchus Rolle serves as the Member of Parliament for the South Beach Constituency and the Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Works & Utilities. In this capacity he lends assistance to the Minister in various roles having direct oversight of the Central Services Dept / Public Graveyards & The Straw Market Authority.
In addition to his governmental duties, Mr. Rolle is the Head Coach of the University of The Bahamas’ Men’s Basketball Team and is involved in charitable work with Lodge St. Michael, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.; and One Family Junkanoo Organization. He is an ardent member of St Ambrose Anglican Church where he is a Challis Bearer, alter server and co-chairs the Marriage Ministry with his wife.
Prior to politics, Mr. Rolle had an extensive professional career that spanned the banking and utilities industries and an athletic career that rivals many as both an athlete and a coach.
He is a graduate of the College of Charleston (’92), South Carolina with dual Bachelor degrees: Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He is married to Kimberley and the couple have two sons Dionysius and Derryus Rolle.
